“America: The Innovation” is organized and curated by Brandon Hill of ALL DAY PROJECTS and Jason Bowers of JAB Arts, in collaboration with Union Station. Located on the mezzanine level, the new initiative activates the space through art, transforming it into a cultural and community destination within one of the city’s busiest public spaces.

The exhibition examines innovation as a driving force in the United States, exploring technological breakthroughs, artistic movements and influential ideas across culture, education, science and society. Bringing together more than 30 artists from across the Northeast, it offers a fresh perspective on the American story through the lens of innovation and craft.

Presented as part of the nation’s 250th-anniversary commemoration, the exhibition celebrates the spirit of creativity, ingenuity and progress that has shaped the American experience.”

“For ten days in October, a curated group of artists from around the globe will travel to Washington, DC to paint larger-than-life murals at our annual celebration of art and creativity. The outdoor festival launched originally in 2016, and is the local chapter of the World Wide Walls Family based in Hawai’i. The international mural festival returns under a new banner D.C. Walls. DC Walls is Directed and curated by artist Kelly Towles.

Since its founding in Hawai’i of 2010 by Jasper Wong, the festival has expanded and grown into a global network of artists. It organizes the production of art, exhibitions, lecture series, creative community spaces, schools for art and music, concerts, and live art installations across the globe.

For 2024 Festival DC Walls is thrilled to be collaborating with NASA.

BEYOND - We're expanding our impact on the community through art, AND we're venturing into uncharted territory with murals in brand new locations.”
